We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations across the region.
New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month.
And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Join the Adelaide Photography Facebook Group here to share your photos after the session.

We ask that everyone attending a meetup follows social distancing guidelines:

Stay home if you're sick.
Keep 1.5 metres away from others.
Don't make unnecessary physical contact with others. Avoid physical greetings, such as handshakes, hugs and kisses.
Wash your hands regularly with alcohol-based sanitiser.

Loved it, I am getting to know more about taking great sunset photos and especially long exposures (something that I was always interested in learning). Also grateful to have had the opportunity to learn a bit of settings for Astrophotography. This session at Port Willunga was just awesome. I would once again like to thank Chris Weisz for his patience and the friendly manner in which he presents his sessions.

I thought that it was terrific. Chris takes time to explain issues and he is so patient. I attended some several years ago and Chris certainly has made a difference with his interaction with the group.

Chris did a great job assisting us and giving ideas of how to get sharp pictures using fast shutter speeds. Fully recommended.

Being our fist time to an event, my wife and I were surprised at how easy it was to just fit straight in with the group. Chris and Cathy (the instructors) were fantastically accommodating and free with their knowledge and advice on how to get the most from your shots. We have already signed up for more classes and I'm sure we become regulars.

Really enjoyed using this technique even if I could not get the photos I was looking for. Chris was really patient with the "tutoring" on the day, going round to each one of us to see how we could do better. He was very much in demand!

It was so good to find out to use my camera better

The course name was 'Camera settings refresher', but it was aimed more at absolute beginners. I didn't mind, as I just bought a new camera, so it gave me a chance to play with it, but if I had taken my old camera I wouldn't have got much from the session.
